Shaping the Future of Psoriasis Care: IPC’s 2025 International Fellows

The 2025 IPC International Fellows spent the past year actively engaged in IPC’s global community, advancing their education through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on learning in psoriasis care. Through virtual programming and in-person engagement with leading international experts, Fellows expanded their clinical perspectives and strengthened cross-regional connections. In this blog, get to know the members of the 2025 cohort, including their reflections and key takeaways captured during the 2025 IPC Think Tank Meeting. IPC is proud to recognize these early-career dermatologists and researchers for their commitment to collaboration, lifelong learning, and improving care for people living with psoriasis.

Malin Assarsson, MD, PhD

Bio
Dr. Malin Assarsson is a consultant dermatologist at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping, Sweden. She trained with IPC Councilors Andrew Pink, Satveer Mahil, and Paolo Di Meglio at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, United Kingdom. Her research focuses on the immunologic effects of the microbiome and the clinical translation of psoriasis research. As part of her fellowship, she attended the XIV International Congress of Dermatology (ICD) in Rome, also participating in the 2025 European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) Congress.

Cristina Bertoli, MD

Dr. Cristina Bertoli is a dermatologist and venereologist at Santa Maria Nuova Hospital in Reggio Emilia, Italy, specializing in inflammatory skin diseases. Mentored by IPC Councilor Elke de Jong at Radboud University Medical Center in the Netherlands, her interests focus on psoriasis management and dermatology education. She attended the EADV Congress in Paris and will continue contributing to IPC as a member of the Pediatric Psoriasis Working Group.

Nicholas Brownstone, MD

Dr. Nicholas Brownstone is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, United States. He trained with IPC Councilor Álvaro González-Cantero at Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid—marking the first time an IPC Fellowship alumnus mentored a new Fellow. Dr. Brownstone attended the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting in Orlando and the EADV Congress in Paris, and continues to focus on personalized medicine, comorbidities, biologic therapies, and clinical trials in psoriasis.

Dina ElDisouki, MD

Cutis “The Skin Clinic”

Cairo, Egypt

Dr. Dina ElDisouki is a consultant dermatologist at “Cutis – The Skin Clinic” in Cairo, Egypt. She was mentored by IPC Councilor Diamant Thaçi at the University of Lübeck in Germany and attended both the AAD Annual Meeting in Orlando and the 2025 EADV Congress in Paris. Her interests include comprehensive psoriasis care, digital innovation, and the use of artificial intelligence to support personalized treatment and patient education.

Jennifer Lavina Ngo, MD-MBA, FPDS

Dr. Jennifer Lavina Ngo is a dermatologist, educator, and researcher at Rizal Medical Center in Pasig, Philippines. As an IPC Research Fellow, she trained with IPC Councilor Curdin Conrad at the University Hospital of Lausanne in Switzerland and attended the ESDR Annual Meeting in Antwerp and the EADV Congress in Paris. Her ongoing interests include immunodermatology, personalized medicine, advanced therapeutics, clinical trials, and real-world evidence. 

Ravi Ramessur, MD, PhD

King’s College London

London, United Kingdom

Dr. Ravi Ramessur is a consultant clinical-academic dermatologist at King’s College London, specializing in psoriasis and its systemic comorbidities. He trained with IPC Board Member Joel Gelfand at the University of Pennsylvania. He attended the World Congress of Pediatric Dermatology (WCPD) in Buenos Aires, as well as the AAD Annual Meeting and the 2025 EADV Congress. Dr. Ramessur remains focused on equitable access to advanced therapies and integrating global best practices into UK care models.

Doriane Sabushimike, MMED, MD

Dr. Doriane Sabushimike is a consultant dermatovenereologist at Kamenge Military Hospital in Bujumbura, Burundi. Her interest in community dermatology was shaped through leadership in regional community-based projects. She trained with IPC Honorary Founder Christopher Griffiths and IPC Councilor Darren Ashcroft at the Global Psoriasis Atlas in Manchester. She attended the ESDR Annual Meeting in Antwerp and the EADV Congress in Paris.

Ralph Vighi da Rosa, MSc, MD

Pelotas, Brazil

Bio

Dr. Ralph Vighi da Rosa is Chair Professor of Dermatology at Pelotas Catholic University in Brazil, where he leads a patch testing extension project and co-directs the Academic Dermatology League. He trained with IPC Councilor Paolo Gisondi at the University of Verona and attended the EADV Congress in Paris. His work focuses on reducing the disease burden of psoriasis by addressing gaps in foundational knowledge among primary care physicians.
