Dr. Malin Assarsson is a consultant dermatologist working at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping, Sweden. She obtained her PhD from Linköping University in November 2024, with the title “Psoriasis – Interactions Between Genetic Susceptibility, Bacterial Microbiome, and Gene Expression.” In addition to psoriasis, Dr. Assarsson has a special interest in genital dermatology and regularly works at the Vulval Clinic at Ryhov County Hospital. Dr. Assarsson is also interested in teaching and regularly gives lectures to residents in dermatology and gynecology, as well as to general practitioners and interns. Dr. Assarsson’s research interests include immunological effects of the microbiome and clinical application of psoriasis research.
