Dr. Bruce Strober earned both his medical and doctoral degrees from Columbia University in New York, New York. He completed his dermatology residency at the Department of Dermatology, New York University School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).

Dr. Strober’s research interests focus on established and emerging therapies for inflammatory skin diseases, particularly interventions for challenging conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. He also explores novel aspects of these diseases and contributes to understanding their pathophysiology. Dr. Strober has served as a principal or sub-investigator in numerous multicenter clinical studies.

He holds the position of Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Yale University School of Medicine. Previously, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis, a Section Editor for the British Journal of Dermatology (BJD) , and has acted as an ad hoc reviewer for prestigious journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (JAAD), Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Dermatology, BJD, and The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) . He has authored over 250 book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals such as JAMA Dermatology, NEJM, JAAD, Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID) , and JAMA, among others. Dr. Strober has presented research data to the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), notably at advisory committee meetings for secukinumab, an innovative IL-17 inhibitor for the treatment of psoriasis. He currently serves as President on the Board of the International Psoriasis Council (IPC) and as Scientific Co-Director of the CorEvitas Psoriasis Registry.

His primary clinical practice focuses on treating complex inflammatory skin conditions, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa.

Before co-founding Central Connecticut Dermatology, Dr. Strober was Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut, United States.
