Meet Our 2025 Volunteers of the Year

IPC’s global network of experts generously volunteers their time each year to educate, mentor, and empower physicians worldwide, driving better care for people living with psoriasis. As we close another impactful year, we are proud to recognize five outstanding Councilors and one Junior Councilor whose dedication and leadership went above and beyond in 2025. Their contributions have strengthened IPC’s global programs, expanded regional education, and advanced our shared mission.

Olusola Olabisi Ayanlowo, MSc, MD

Dr. Olusola Ayanlowo co-chaired the Africa and Eastern Mediterranean Masterclass, served on the Membership Committee, and contributed as a speaker at IPC’s symposium at the International Congress of Dermatology (ICD). Olusola’s commitment to advancing education and building regional capacity continues to have a meaningful impact, exemplifying the spirit of IPC’s volunteer community.

Paolo Gisondi, MD

Dr. Paolo Gisondi mentored a 2025 IPC Fellow, Ralph da Rosa, co-chaired the European Masterclass, and served as faculty for the Latin America Masterclass. He also spoke at IPC’s symposium during the International Congress of Dermatology (ICD) in Rome and at the 2025 IPC Think Tank in Puerto Rico. His involvement across numerous programs reflects a deep dedication to advancing IPC’s mission globally.

Leandro Linhares Leite, MD, MSc

Dr. Leandro Leite made significant contributions to IPC’s generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) education project and actively supported several committees, including the Editorial Committee and the Latin America Working Group. Leandro also co-chaired the Latin America Masterclass program and contributed to and created regional educational resources through our Marketing and Communications team. His broad engagement and steady leadership continue to strengthen IPC’s presence across the Americas.

Wilson Liao, MD

Dr. Wilson Liao co-chaired the North America Masterclass in Chicago, served on the Fellowship Committee while leading Fellows Class 4, and was a speaker at the 2025 IPC Think Tank. Wilson’s ongoing dedication and thoughtful contributions continue to support and advance IPC’s educational programs.

Yuling Shi, MD, PhD

Dr. Yuling Shi chaired both the Asia Masterclass and the IPC symposium at the Chinese Dermatology Association (CDA) meeting and served as faculty for IPC’s symposium at the ICD in Rome. Her leadership and sustained engagement have had a meaningful impact across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Maria-Angeliki Gkini, MD, MSc, PhD, FRCP

Bio

Dr. Maria-Angeliki Gkini co-chaired the Fellows Class 2, served as faculty for the Africa and Eastern Mediterranean Masterclass and IPC’s symposium at ICD, and actively contributed to the Membership Committee and the Diverse Skin Types Working Group. In 2025, she was also appointed Chair of IPC’s newly established Early Career Steering Committee. Maria-Angeliki brings insight, energy, and a collaborative spirit to every initiative, helping shape the future of IPC.
