Dr. Leite is a dermatologist with a special interest in psoriasis and autoimmune skin diseases. Since completing his dermatology residency in 2017, he has been head in a public care clinic for patients with psoriasis at the Hospital São Lucas da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, where he conducts lectures and instructs residents in clinical practice and research. He also works in an outpatient private care clinic at the Hospital Moinhos de Vento focused on immune-mediated diseases. Dr. Leite has finished his MSc in Medical Sciences in 2019 and was one of the authors and researchers behind the Clinical Guideline of Psoriasis of the Brazilian Ministry of Health (Protocolo de Diretrizes e Tratamento de Psoríase), which resulted in the inclusion of biologics for severe psoriasis in the Brazilian Public Health Care System and, subsequently, in the list of drugs provided by the Health Insurance companies. He also has published four peer-reviewed manuscripts as the lead author. His clinical interests are focused on the management of patients with complex cases of autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases, and he has a scientific interest in the development and evaluation of targeted therapies for these diseases. Dr. Leite studied with IPC Board Member Catherine Smith at her clinic in London, UK.
