Dr. Alison Treichel is a PGY-4 dermatology resident at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in the “2+2” research track under the mentorship of IPC Councilor Dr. Kevin Cooper. She graduated from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo in 2020 with research honors. She was awarded the Bacelli Award for the most outstanding research in her graduating class. Before graduation, Dr. Treichel completed two years of research fellowships at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) through the Medical Research Scholars Program and the Doris Duke Clinical Mentorship Program. Dr. Treichel’s current research interests in psoriasis include precision medicine, the influence of microbial-derived metabolites in psoriasis pathogenesis, and dermatoepidemiology.

Dr. Treichel will study with IPC Councilor Álvaro González-Cantero at the Hospital Ramón y Cajal in Madrid, Spain.
