Dr. Yi Xiao is a distinguished academic and medical professional from Changsha, China. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine and PhD in Dermatology and Venereology in China. She completed a Master of Public Health in Global Health from the University of Washington, focusing on dermato-epidemiological research.

Dr. Xiao has held several academic positions at CSU, Xiangya School of Medicine, and the Department of Dermatology, including serving as an attending physician. She is a physician assistant professor (tenure-track) and has undertaken postdoctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Public Health, focusing on the epidemiology of skin disease.

She is a member of the Society for Dermatology in Hunan Province, China, and the China Non-communicable Diseases Alliance. Her research includes the epidemiology and etiology of late-onset psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.

Dr. Xiao has published extensively on psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and chronic spontaneous urticaria. She has presented at international conferences, including the International Societies for Investigative Dermatology (ISID) in Japan and the American Association of Dermatology (AAD) in San Diego, United States.

In 2022, she received the Outstanding Paper Award of Chinese Dermatologists from The Chinese Medical Association of Dermatology. Dr. Xiao’s dedication to advancing dermatology is evident in her achievements.
