A Message from the President and CEO

DEAR COLLEAGUES

In 2025, IPC advanced the priorities outlined in our strategic plan, strengthening research collaboration, expanding regional education, and progressing focused clinical initiatives that address real-world gaps in psoriasis care. This encompassed ongoing efforts in disease severity reclassification, defining topical failure, examining cardiometabolic impacts on psoriasis, addressing complex clinical scenarios, commencing development of a comprehensive textbook on psoriasis, and delivering continued regional education via our Masterclasses.

Throughout the year, our Board Members, Councilors, and Jr. Councilors led scientific discussions, educational programming, and collaborative initiatives that reflect IPC’s role as a global network of physician experts. From international symposia to clinical guidance efforts, these contributions continue to shape how psoriasis care evolves across regions.

We are grateful to the many individuals and partners who volunteer their time, expertise, and leadership to IPC’s work. Their contributions are reflected throughout the progress summarized in this report.

We invite you to view the Annual Report below to learn more about IPC’s work in 2025.

Thank you for your continued engagement and partnership

New Take Tens on Psoriatic Arthritis

IPC Councilor Anna Lopez Ferrer, MD, PhD, reviews PURE-4, a four-item tool that helps dermatologists screen psoriasis patients for psoriatic arthritis (PsA) risk. She traces its evolution across three studies (2018–2026) into a validated predictor of early PsA.

IPC Councilor André Lucas Ribeiro, MD, reframes PsA as a slow transition from psoriasis, not a sudden event, opening the door to disease interception. He outlines the steps needed to get there, from harmonizing definitions to reducing inflammatory burden.
