Professor Yayoi Tada is a Chief Professor at the Department of Dermatology, Teikyo University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. She studied at the University of Tokyo, earning her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine in 1995 and her PhD from the Graduate School of Medicine in 2001. She was board-certified as a dermatologist by the Japanese Dermatological Association in 2005. Since she graduated from medical school, she has held several positions in the dermatology departments at the University of Tokyo, the National Cancer Institute (Bethesda, MD, USA), Kosei General Hospital (Tokyo), and Teikyo University School of Medicine. Her main research interests include psoriasis and cutaneous immunology.

Professor Tada is actively engaged in patient advocacy and is a consulting dermatologist for the NPO Tokyo Psoriasis Association (P-PAT). She has worked on councils in Japan, including the Pharmaceutical Affairs and Food Sanitation Council, the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED), the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), and the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare.
