Professor Stefano Piaserico, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Padua, Italy, and the Head of the Regional Centre for Psoriasis. Professor Piaserico qualified in Medicine and Surgery in 1997 from the University of Padua and was awarded a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics. His thesis focused on photodynamic therapy in dermatology. Professor Piaserico conducted research at the Regional Centre for Melanoma at Istituto Oncologico Veneto in Italy. His research is primarily on dermatology and venereology with a key focus on psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, organ transplant recipients, photodynamic therapy, and skin cancer. Professor Piaserico has built up a wide portfolio of more than 140 publications in several scientific journals and is an associate of numerous professional organizations including the Italian Society of Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
