Dr. Mio Nakamura is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Program for Clinical Research in Dermatology in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Michigan. She completed a clinical research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, before completing her dermatology residency at the University of Michigan. She also holds a Master’s in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Dr. Nakamura’s clinical and research interests include chronic inflammatory skin conditions, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, prurigo nodularis, and autoimmune skin conditions, such as cutaneous lupus. She conducts sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials in these areas and works closely with scientists on clinical aspects of translational studies. During her IPC Fellowship, Dr. Nakamura studied with IPC Councilor Nick Reynolds at Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom.
