Dr. Mario Amaya Guerra is a board-certified dermatologist based in Monterrey, Mexico, with over 40 years of clinical and academic experience. He completed his dermatology training at Centro Dermatológico Pascua in Mexico City and has served as Head of Dermatology and Residency Director at Centro Médico del Noreste. Dr. Amaya is affiliated with Hospital San Lucas and remains active in teaching and clinical research. Dr. Amaya is a recognized leader in psoriasis and psoriatic disease in Latin America. He has served as Mexico’s delegate to the Latin American Society of Psoriasis (SOLAPSO) since 2010 and is the national coordinator for the Global Psoriasis Atlas (GPA). He is a member of the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA) and a founding member of the Mexican Group for the Study of Psoriasis (PsoMex). His research contributions include participation in numerous clinical trials and authorship of national and regional treatment guidelines for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Dr. Amaya has been an invited speaker at national and international dermatology conferences and has collaborated with multiple pharmaceutical advisory boards. His work continues to advance the understanding and management of psoriatic disease in Latin America, focusing on improving patient outcomes through education, research, and evidence-based care.
