Dr. Daniela Armijo is a dermatologist in Santiago, Chile. She was a 2018 IPC Fellow, mentored by Prof. Christopher Griffiths, OBE, MD, FRCP, at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. As a dermatologist, she works in private practice with a focus on psoriasis patients, and as an investigator in clinical trials. She coordinates the Psoriasis Group in the Chilean Dermatology Society and participates in SOLAPSO.

As coordinator of the psoriasis Group in Chile, I have participated in educational activities with Chilean patient associations. I am also working in the “Support to Patient Associations” group in SOLAPSO. I have been working with Chilean authorities to improve access to therapies.

New Take Tens on Psoriatic Arthritis

IPC Councilor Anna Lopez Ferrer, MD, PhD, reviews PURE-4, a four-item tool that helps dermatologists screen psoriasis patients for psoriatic arthritis (PsA) risk. She traces its evolution across three studies (2018–2026) into a validated predictor of early PsA.

IPC Councilor André Lucas Ribeiro, MD, reframes PsA as a slow transition from psoriasis, not a sudden event, opening the door to disease interception. He outlines the steps needed to get there, from harmonizing definitions to reducing inflammatory burden.
