Dr. Bernadette Arcilla obtained her medical degree in 1984 at the University of the Philippines, Manila. She became a certified dermatologist in 1989 after training in the Section of Dermatology, Department of Internal Medicine, at UP-Philippine General Hospital, Manila, Philippines. She then completed her fellowship training in Photodermatology in May 1999 at the Department of Dermatology at New York University Hospital. She is a past Board Director of the Philippine Dermatological Society (1999-2000, 2009-2010, 2013-2014, 2017-2018). She also served as medical director of Stiefel and GlaxoSmith Kline in the Philippines. Dr. Arcilla is an active consultant and the phototherapy unit head of the Section of Dermatology University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. She is an active consultant at Manila Doctor’s Hospital and Asian Hospital Medical Center. She is a member of the Philippine Dermatological Society Photodermatogy subspecialty group and a member of the Pigmentary special interest group. Dr. Arcilla currently leads the National Psoriasis Registry Technical Working Group.
