Dr. Azura Mohd Affandi has fifteen years of work experience as a Consultant Dermatologist at Kuala Lumpur Hospital. In 2023, she was appointed the Head of the Department in Kuala Lumpur Hospital and the Head of Dermatology Subspecialty in the Ministry of Health, Malaysia. Dr. Affandi is also a Visiting Consultant Dermatologist in two private practices in Malaysia. She graduated from the University of Manchester with an MBChB degree. She obtained an MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom, continued her studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and has an Advanced Master’s Degree in Dermatology. Dr. Affandi has been invited to present at various conferences and has published international and local articles. She is also the principal investigator for several clinical trials related to the dermatology field. She also trains candidates in the Advanced Master’s Degree of Dermatology program. She contributes to the patient community and has spent the last ten years as the Medical Advisor of the Psoriasis Association of Malaysia. Dr. Affandi has been supporting the patient group in creating awareness about psoriasis, intending to improve patient care and outcomes.
