Dr. Andrew Pink is a consultant dermatologist and the director of the adult Clinical Trials Unit at St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London. He is the deputy director of the South London National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Commercial Research Delivery Centre and an Honorary Senior Lecturer and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at King’s College London. He is an ex-Honorary Secretary of the St John’s Dermatological Society, a Councilor with the International Psoriasis Council (IPC), and Chair of the Annual United Kingdom (UK) Dermatology Course for Consultants. He is regularly a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) clinical expert. His clinical and academic interests focus on inflammatory skin disease and translational medicine, primarily in psoriasis and eczema. Andrew has helped to develop a national multi-disciplinary eczema service and a very active trials unit (phase II-IV) at St. John’s. He has acted as Chief Investigator (CI) on multiple trials examining novel therapies emerging in psoriasis and eczema. He is the CI for the Best Evidence for Advancing Clinical Outcomes in National Eczema Treatment (BEACON) trial, a large UK multi-arm multi-stage platform trial designed to assess the comparative effectiveness of systemic therapies for moderate to severe eczema in adults.

Main interest – Clinical trial design and completion (Clinical trial lead at my centre – novel therapeutics for psoriasis and pustular psoriasis). Other interests – Clinical observational research, registry work, genetic/ personalization research (with Jonathan Barker and Catherine Smith).
