Dr. Irene Gallais Sérézal works at the Besançon University Hospital in Besançon, France. She obtained her PhD at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and graduated as a dermatologist in Paris, France. Dr. Gallais Sérézal has experience in psoriasis care in France and Sweden, where she worked at the Karolinska University Hospital and at the Swedish patient–driven psoriasis clinics. Her PhD work in The Eidsmo Laboratory has helped better understand the implication of disease memory, especially skin-resident T cells, in the relapses of psoriasis. She now drives her independent line of work in France, deciphering the factors underlying the dwelling of these T cells in the skin, hoping to identify disease-relevant factors that could minimize relapses in psoriasis patients. Dr. Gallais Sérézal is a member of the French Society of Dermatology, active in its psoriasis research group, and a member of the European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR).
