Dr. Renata Ferreira Magalhães is a Professor of Dermatology at the University of Campinas (Unicamp) and serves as the Head of the Dermatology Department at Unicamp Hospital. With over 20 years of experience in psoriasis, she teaches undergraduate courses, supervises master’s and doctoral degrees, conducts research, leads clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry as a Principal Investigator, and publishes scientific papers extensively. Dr. Magalhães aims to enhance Brazil and Latin America’s involvement in the global discourse on psoriatic disease and other immune-mediated conditions. She highlights the region’s unmet needs and opportunities for advancement in these areas.

Dr. Magalhães actively participates in various initiatives. She contributes to awareness campaigns organized by the Brazilian Dermatology Society and plays a crucial role in shaping national guidelines by participating in the Brazilian psoriasis consensus. Dr. Magalhães also provides consultancy services to the Ministry of Health on psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa topics.
