Professor Menno de Rie is a retired professor of dermatology at the Amsterdam University Medical Centres, University of Amsterdam. Before specializing in dermatology, he earned a PhD in immunology. Previously, he worked at the dermatology department of Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam and served as director and senior expert on translational dermatology at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research in Basel. Since 2023, he has been treasurer of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV). Professor de Rie was named an IPC Councilor Emeritus in October 2025.
