Dr. Vélez is a physician and surgeon from the University of Antioquia, Medellin, Colombia. She studied dermatology at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Medellin Colombia. She was a Professor at CES University of Medellin from 2014 to 2020. Dr. Vélez currently works in private practice and is part of CLIPSO (a clinic for psoriasis and immune-mediated skin diseases) in Medellín, Colombia.
