Carrie’s career journey began in for-profit sales and marketing before transitioning to the nonprofit sector, driven by her passion for advocacy. Her volunteer work with CURE (Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy) and the Northern California Epilepsy Foundation ignited her dedication to healthcare causes. Under the direction of CEO Susan Connors, she served for more than eight years as Director of Sales at the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA). Carrie created multifaceted partnerships with pharmaceutical companies such as Abbott, Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals, and Sandoz during her tenure. She was also instrumental in program implementation and coalition building and spearheaded sponsorship and exhibitor recruitment for national and local events.

As a caregiver for a loved one with a rare disease, Carrie’s personal experiences fuel her commitment to enhancing patient outcomes. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and is pursuing a patient advocacy certificate through UCLA Extension.
