Professor Hamdy graduated from the Kasr Alainy School of Medicine, Cairo University hospitals in December 1995, achieving her bachelor’s in medicine with excellent grades and honors. She taught and trained hundreds of Egyptian and international visiting medical students in the field of rheumatology, clinical immunology, and rehabilitation in Egypt, as well as internal medicine residents while working at KSA. Prof. Hamdy received a French diploma in medical education twelve years ago (Diplome Francais Medical – CCIP). She was nominated as a full fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2014 and elected as an international fellow member of the American College of Rheumatology in 2014.

Prof. Hamdy was the first Egyptian Rheumatology staff member from Cairo University to win EULAR’s best abstract travel bursary in 2011. She was also the first medical professor to introduce, design, and train a course on the “Establishment of the Evidence-Based Strategy in Medical Research and Practice” at the faculty leadership development center at Cairo University for training university staff involved in medical research on the use of the evidence-based approach. Prof. Hamdy was a research team leader and trainer for systematic reviews in the International Medical Students’ research association IMEDRA.

Prof. Hamdy is a member and researcher in the AFLAR osteoporosis study group and a certified international professional trainer at the faculty leadership development center, Cairo University CIPT, Cairo University, Management Development Institute, Missouri State University, United States, carrying on training for research ethics and evidence-based medicine. She is a verified editor and reviewer for several reputable international medical journals and publishers and was honored to be included recently as an advisory board member in several influential journals. Prof. Hamdy is also an author and co-author of book publications and an international speaker in Rheumatology and Immunology.
