FAROE ISLANDS

Why the Faroe Islands?

2023 marks the 60th anniversary of a seminal paper in the history of psoriasis research. In 1963, Danish physician Gunnar Lomholt went to the Faroe Islands, visited numerous households, examined the family members for psoriasis, and concluded that there was a strong inherited component to the disease. This marked the beginning of psoriasis epidemiology and genetics. Join us to celebrate this historic milestone through state-of-the-art lectures on developments in psoriasis and how science has had a significant impact.
